Most of the Amish have very little knowledge of their origins, and have no idea where the traditions came from that are now a large part of the religion. We are researching the origins of the Anabaptist traditions and theology, in order to help the Amish understand how those traditions developed in their historical context, so that they can understand the historical culture, and evaluate it against the teachings of Jesus, and what it means to follow Jesus.
